The Comic Book Periodic Table of the Elements
So busy, that I have barely enough time to shit, but heres some geekish tomfoolery The Comic Book Periodic Table of the Elements.
I had some pints today, with my new work colleagues. In an English pub like establishment. This makes me happy.

Me and the boy took a spin around the Science Fiction Convention the other day. Most excellent, a rather polite member of the Nordic Garrison, 501st Legion (Vaders Fist) held the door open for us (a regular storm trooper, though -aside from Lord Vader himself - there was a couple of biker scouts, sand troopers and snow troopers). Incidently, check this biker scout out (from Carolina, where clearly the standards for clone's eating habits have lapsed a little, good on you though mate.).
Lance Henrikson, good bloke. Stood with the unwashed to watch a trailer for his latest movie, I was rubbing shoulders with him. I'll never wash my eyes again.

www.Propworld.nu
Its that time of year again:http://www.propworld.nu/...which means the Malmö Mässan Science Fiction Convention is once again underway. Amongst this years grumpy B list actors ("Malmö, where the fucks that?" "Its somewhere near Austria sir, and it's a contractual obligation") is none other than Lance Henriksen who, if memory serves (and I can't be arsed to open another window) has been slain by both Predator and Alien (or at least dismembered by such). He's also been detonated by the muscles from Brussels. I will go this year I think, and purchase fine geeky things such as comics and videos. I may even purchase a large rubber helmet.
I was at a workshop all day today, about writing content for the web (and if this blog is anything to go by, I certainly needed it. But, then again, I get paid to write at work, here I just write as a cleaner alternative to a dirty protest). It was very good, lots of ideas. Cool.
Reading: Ultimate Spiderman, Ultimate Fantastic 4. And some Ian M. Banks. Again.
Listening: Bad Brains.
Thinking about: The horror. The horror.

Steven Seagal
Steven Seagal: "His deep spiritual roots are an integral part of his movies, his music, his martial arts expertise and his genuine
love and care for others."
...this is the great mans music, I must check out his 'critically acclaimed album' Mojo Priest.
Job going well thus far. I am speaking Swedish, a lot. Therefore my brain is custard.

Hot Fuzz Reviews Guardian Unlimited Film: "There are funny moments all the way through, particularly among the abysmal Sandford coppers, such as Bill Bailey's morose custody sergeant who does nothing but read Iain Banks novels. "...genius.

Guardian Unlimited | Comment is free | Libby Brooks: It's not enough to say we should listen to children
Guardian Unlimited Comment is free Libby Brooks: It's not enough to say we should listen to children: "Having children is now increasingly seen as a lifestyle choice. And there is no sense from government that having children could be socially rather than economically useful. "...a while ago I followed the debate regarding paid parent leave for fathers in the youK, there was lots of comments about children being a lifestyle choice and almost zero discussion regarding contribution to society etc. dunno what I'm trying to say exactly, but I expect it was earnestly meant.
Last day at the factory tomorrow, and it was the last chance to say goodnight to the nightshift this evening - good lads.
As K pointed out recently our son is like James Bond i.e. Charming, manipulative and violent. I added to this that he's also British (or at least half british).
Reading: Druss - Death Stalker, but in Swedish. (adding the words 'axe', 'chop' and 'behead' to my lexicon. Useful if I ever become a brain surgeon, or something).

An explosion of disbelief - fresh doubts over 9/11 | the Daily Mail
An explosion of disbelief - fresh doubts over 9/11 the Daily Mail: "He was interrupted a few minutes later by a whispered message in his ear from an aide that a second aircraft had hit the Twin Towers.
The President's face, captured by photographers at the school, remained completely passive. He showed no sign of emotion. "....no surprise there, he's a fucking monkey, remember?
Daily Mail - championing the truth, as always.

I got the job. Well happy, I put loads of effort into the interview and assignment they set me so, finally, it feels so good to get a positive result. And break the chain of unlucky second interviews I've had over the last year. So next up, escape the factory using the escape tunnel, drug the dogs patrolling the perimeter and get the resistance to smuggle me over the border to the land of n0rmal working hours and clean offices.

The same day I watched Al Gore's An Inconvient Truth, we also get to read this, the IPCC's latest report. What to say? Can we get past the seeming inability to join the dots? I really hope so.

What can I say...usual bonding games at work which can involve anything from walking up to someone, farting silently (then walking away), a passing tickle or, rather cosily, a quick squeeze of whatever part of the anatomy presents itself. Very odd. Reserved swedes, I think not.
Waiting for: Interview on thursday morning.
Reading: Mainly about insect sex in Perdido Street Station.

Ahh, another weekend swings into a close (which makes no sense whatsever)...I'd love to write more but, as its coming up to my bedtime i.e. 2100, I need to catch some zs. Today was most excellent at work, id card stopped working meaning I shivered in sub zeros temperatures outside the factory until someone let me in. Good part was part of the glass machine going mad and, before anyone could stop it, smashing loads of glass in a really impressive way...all the recruitment company boys looked on and laughed as the production line boss tried to stop the machine. excellent.

BBC NEWS | Europe | Severe storms hit southern Sweden...the photograph accompanying this article is of the seafront a few seconds walk from where we live, rather stupidly - though the storm was dying down - I took E out to see the sea. Fortunately his screams of terror, as a result of the howling wind and thunder of buildings being torn to bits, did not attract the police and I was able to get him home safely.
