Website: This is extremely geeky but I learnt about this from the William Gibson book I just finished (Pattern Recognition - as good as neuromancer). The Curta was a hand operated calculator which invented in the 1940s by a chap imprisoned in Buchenwald. It was made extinct by the first electronic calculators. I think it looks rather like a maths grenade.
